美國紐約普雷特學院工業設計碩士

現任實踐大學工業設計學系（簡稱SCID）副教授。他在紐約普瑞特藝術學院獲得工業設計碩士學位，之後在飛利浦台灣擔任工業設計師。除了教學和行政工作外，他還是多個政府重點教育與研究項目的評審委員，包括「高教深耕計畫」、「以素養導向之高教創新教學計畫」、「大學社會責任計畫」、「教學實踐研究計畫」及「台灣大學學習生態系計畫」等。自SCID創系以來，他便是創系教師之一，並於2011年擔任系所主任。任內他專注於國際化及課程重組，並將學生的視野拓展至社會關懷和用戶體驗領域。他曾任科隆國際設計學院和維爾茨堡-施韋因富特應用科學大學的客座教授，也曾受邀在「AG Ideas國際設計論壇」（墨爾本）和「第二屆國際元設計論壇」（韓國弘益大學）擔任主講人。由於他在國際化方面的努力，他被任命為實踐大學國際事務處處長，建立了更多的設計教育國際交流。在三十年的職業生涯中，朱教授與同事們共同策劃了眾多展覽和設計工作坊，為SCID建立了良好的聲譽。作為指導老師，學生項目多次在台灣、中國及其他國家獲得設計獎項。

產品設計：「創意生成循環」之創作實驗及應用

Hsu-Cheng Chu is now the Associate Professor in the Department of Industrial Design (abbreviated as SCID), meanwhile the Dean of Office of General Affairs in Shih Chien University. He received his Master of Industrial Design in Pratt Institute New York and then served as industrial designer in Philips Taiwan. Besides teaching and administration, he is also the review committee for several government focus education and research program including ”Higher Education Sprout Project”, “Literacy Oriented Creative Learning of Higher Education Project”, “University Social Responsibility Project”, “Teaching Practice Research Program” and “University Learning Ecosystem for Taiwan Program”….Since the beginning of SCID, he is among the founding faculty and later was the chairperson in 2011. During his term, he focused on the topic of internationalization and curriculum re-organization and extended the vision of students to the field of social concern and user experience. He has been the guest professor of Köln International School of Design and University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt. He was also been invited to “AG Ideas International Design Forum”(Melbourn) and ”The Second International Meta Design Forum” in Hong-Ik University(Seoul) as keynote speaker. For his effort in internationalization, he was appointed to be the Dean of Office of International Affairs, Shih Chien University and built up more international communications for design education.In thirty years, Professor Chu has co-curated numerous exhibitions and hosted many design workshops with colleagues for the SCID and thus established the reputation of department.
