實踐工設專任副教授，設計學院院長（2016～2021），工設系所主任（1999～2011）；曾獲實踐大學「特優教學獎」（2021）、「特殊貢獻獎」（2010）及「教學優良教師獎」（2005）；中國湖南大學設計學院特聘教授；德國科隆應用科技大學國際設計學院、符茲堡科技大學設計學院客座教授；Global Design Initiative（GDI）全球五校聯合計畫（台、德、日、英、新）創始會員，2017獲日本武藏野美術大學頒贈「Musashino Art University Fellow」榮譽。《LA VIE》、《當代設計雜誌》專欄作者、《工業材料雜誌》撰文作者，作品曾於維也納應用美術館、義大利米蘭國際家具展、台北當代藝術館…展出。擔任文化部、國立故宮博物院、台灣設計研究院、經濟部、教育部、行政院農委會、台北市產發局…計畫審查委員；「台灣精品選拔、國家產品形象獎」副評審；金點設計、國家設計獎、台北設計獎、Braun Prize China、IBDC…設計競賽評審。兩度受邀瑞士Design Summit St. Moritz與談人；2006巴西Parana設計研討會、2006香港設計週Design Education Day、日本東京Global Design Education Forum、The design BRICS Symposium…主講人；多次代表出席國際設計會議以及策劃SCID作品國際展演；規劃執行多項跨國設計工作營，與企業進行設計產學合作案；曾執行經濟部、教育部、文化總會、科技部、北市府…等多項計畫。指導學生獲美國傑出工業設計獎、德國紅點獎、德國iF概念設計獎、Braun Prize、亞洲最具影響力設計學生大獎…等。

Product Design from Hochschule für Angewandte Kunst in Vienna, Austria. Since 1994 she is full time Associate Professor in the Department of Industrial Design (SCID) and was Chairperson of SCID from 1999 till 2011, she served as Dean of College of Design at Shih-Chien University (2016 ~2021). Her design projects were exhibited in MAK museum Wien, Salone Satellite Milan and MoCA Taipei.Prof. Chou is invited as Guest professor at Hunan University in Changsha, Huaqiao University in Xiamen and Guangzhou Academy of Fine Art in Guangzhou, China, as well as at Köln International School of Design and FH Würzburg, Germany. She received “Musashino Art University Fellow“ (Japan) in 2017.The author of regular essays published in journals, magazines, newspapers and books, Professor Chou has made keynote speeches, led workshops and given lectures in many countries.She is also member of jury committee for many government-sponsored projects and various design competition, coordinator of international design workshops and project leader of academy-industry cooperative projects.
