Che-Chung Wang
Professor
Department of Mechanical Engineering, National Central University
Che-Chung Wang obtained a PhD in the Institute of Mechanical Engineering, Central University in 1988. He focused on the quality engineering method to be used in the doctoral dissertation about Taguchi Methods of Robust Design combined with the new electrical discharge machining technology, such as ball burnishing, electrical discharge machining and electrical discharge sawing, and so on.
After graduation, he taught at National Defense University and cooperated with National Chung-Shan Institute of Science & Technology and other research units to continue the research with relevant equipment. The research belongs to the field of the non-traditional processing, such as electrical discharging and high energy density beam welding, with the study of both the optimization of processing parameters and surface integrity of the processed material.
In the recent 20 years, Prof. Wang has been teaching in the department of industrial design, Shih-Chien university. He hopes to integrate different fields, including mechanical manufacture, engineering of materials, structures and mechanism and industrial engineering to achieve the education features with rapid prototyping equipment of the department. With traditional and digital production capacities, Prof. Wang used personal education experience and research to combine innovation energy of the industrial design and application of quality control of industrial engineering theory to align technology with humanity.
